Hello there,

I'm having problems with receiving calls while I'm outside Netherlands, the roaming is activated, I can call but I cannot receive call neither from NL or from the country I'm visiting.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

  1. Do you have a prepaid or subscription with montly fee?
  2. Try to manually connect to another network

Hi there,

I tried everything, I paid the 30 euros to have the connection abroad and Internet is working fine. But I can't receive calls.. I manually connect to the country's provider. Nothing worked so far, I arrived 1st May. 😕

Thx

Which country are you in?

Argentina!! The local company is SR Personal

Under settings in your mobile phone look for mobile netwerks and select “manually connect to a network. Let the phone do a search and logon to  Claro or Movistar.

Than try again.

Hi Eric

I have restarted the telephone and the only available networks are the ones that you can see from the screenshot attached. It doesn't allows me to choose.

My phone is a Samsung s25

Thx

Hello @Roreeves how nice that you're in Argentinia, do you have a great time over there? I completely understand that you want to be able to receive calls, let's look at a solution together!

I checked your subscription right away and I don't see any blockages or other details. To rule out some things, I would like to ask you to check some things in your phone. Could you check for me if the software of your device is up to date? In addition, you can also reset your phone's network settings. On an Android device, you do this in the following way: Settings > General Administration. Then choose Reset and then Reset network settings. Keep in mind that connected devices, need to be reconnected. Then restart your device and see if it manages to manually connect to another provider's network.

Should that not work, could you perform a cross test for me? Put your SIM card in another device to see if the problem persists. This way you can find out whether it's your SIM card or your device.

I would love to hear from you!

Hello Pharwin,

Nothing worked so far, still  connect to mis one red.

Hello @Roreeves what did the cross test with your SIM card show? Does your sim card work in another device or not that either?

Also, can you check if the APN name of your connection is set correctly? You can check this on an Android device in settings > mobile networks > access point names.

It should say internet.mobile. If it says something else, this can cause problems with Roaming abroad. You can manually change it to internet.mobile. Then restart your device.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello Pharwin,

The access point it was set correctly as you described.

I've tried my sum in another device but is not working.

The calls do not come trough.

Any further advice?

Hello @Roreeves, thanks for the explanation! If your SIM card also does not work in another device, then it is probably because of your SIM card. Will you be abroad for a long time? I can possibly request a new SIM card for you. You can expect it at your home address within 3 working days. You will have to complete the activation within 7 days and you can do this easily via your My Odido account.

You can also visit one of our stores. There, my colleagues can help you directly with linking and activating a new SIM card.

Let me know what you prefer? I would love to hear from you!

Dear Pharwin,

Please request a new SIM card accordingly, I will be back in the Netherlands on 27th.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Romina

Good morning @Roreeves, no problem! Before I can order a new SIM card for you, I just need to do an additional verification to make sure you are the right person. I have just sent a code by text message to your number. Could you please share it with me? Then I'll order the new SIM card for you right away!
