Hi, I would kindly like to find out whether I can activate a 06 number which was on my Odido profile?

I recently cancelled it, thinking it would default to prepaid. I wanted to switch over to another provider, but they of course can now not do that on the cancelled number.

I was not aware that I had to request the number port from the new providers side, which is definitely my fault.

Could you possibly help me with this or tell me where to go?

Hello @bvdwalt

The number can not be activated again, porting the number is also not possible.

If you wanted to change the subscription to prepaid, you should have told that while cancelling.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Mmmmm interesting, I’m pretty sure that I chose the reason somewhere as moving to another provider or something along those lines.

So there is no way to salvage the number to be able to use it again? I recall reading something around a number being reserved for some time, before being put back into the pool of numbers to be used for new customers.

@bvdwalt

If you want to port a number than that number needs to be active..

So is there no way for me to get the number back even though during the cancellation I selected that I would like to move to another provider? This process doesn’t seem very user-friendly, that my number can just disappear into the abyss so easily.

Good morning B, what @Waqqas says is correct in most situations. It's also true that if you cancel your subscription instead of ordering a new subscription with another provider with number porting or choose to switch to Prepaid, your number will become inactive and will later on be passed on to a new user. However - and I can't promise anything - there is still a chance for me to bring back your 06-number/subscription if the cancellation was done not too long ago. Please fill in your full name, 06-number, date of birth, zip code + house number and the last 4 digits of your IBAN. I'm happy to look into it and see if I can still reconnect you. The next step is to cancel the subscription by switching to Prepaid. Please let me know when you filled in your profile! 😊

Hi Marciano, thank you for the reply about the re-connection, but based on the conversation yesterday I have just gone ahead and requested a new number from my new provider.

Hello @bvdwalt, that's totally fine too!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We're always happy to help. For now, have a great day! 😁
